Pharmacist Per Diem Opportunity

Support pharmacy operations at a federally qualified health center (FQHC) utilizing 340B program management for a community pharmacy located in Keokuk, IA. This per diem opportunity calls for a licensed pharmacist with retail and community pharmacy experience, ideally including 340B program familiarity. The role offers the chance to supervise pharmacy technicians and manage opening and closing procedures in a well-supported pharmacy setting.

Location:

• Keokuk, IA (near the Illinois state line)
• Coverage Dates: Monday, 6/22 through Friday, 6/29
• Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a 1-hour lunch break

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Dispense medications accurately and counsel patients
• Utilize Datascan by WinPharm pharmacy management system
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and policies

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active Iowa pharmacy license
• Experience in retail/community pharmacy settings
• Prior experience with 340B program preferred but not required
• Ability to lead pharmacy staff and manage operational tasks with autonomy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
