Patient Ratios: 5-7:1

Unit Staffing Description: Techs per census, usually 2-4

Type of Equipment: Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, Bladder scanner

Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements: 12 hr shifts, every other weekend

Floating Policy: May be floated to other Med Surg depts.

Patient Experience Requirements: Rehab experience preferred

Hiring Profile

Must Have: Med/Surg or PCU experience, BLS and VA License

Preferred: Rehab experience

Advanced Skills Needed: None

Procedures Performed on Unit: Med administration to include IVs, PICC, PEG tube admin; Bladder scans, Trach care, Tube feeding, Foley cath, Bladder irrigation, Blood Administration

Dress Code: Navy blue or white solid scrubs
