Software Systems Developer

Software Systems Developer As a Software Systems Developer for the organization, you will design, plan, and implement technical solutions based on requirements gathered from various teams. You will have a moderate understanding of operations and will rely on various members of the organization to establish a full understanding of business requirements prior to implementation. In the role of Software Systems Developer: You will do information gathering, and implementation of software solutions. You will collaborate within IT team to provide infrastructure to promote performance, security, and adequate software host environments. You will support maintenance, extension, and integration between various software systems. You will do database design, administration, tuning, and support for MS SQL Server. You will build and maintain custom reporting via export, dashboards, SRSS, and Crystal Reports. You will automate processes using SQL infrastructure, APIs, and custom application development. You will maintain source control, and a code base that can be extended by other members of the team and can be deployed and maintained with minimal effort. You will document system modifications and customizations. You will use approved AI-assisted development tools and identify opportunities to responsibly apply AI and automation across IT workflows and software systems. The skills you need to succeed: You must have a strong understanding of SQL Server development and architecture. You must have object oriented programming and understanding of best practices with design patterns and extensibility / maintainability. You must understanding of full stack development, using database, server-side, and client-side technologies. You must have the ability to debug and testing applications within the IDE or browser. You must have strong understanding of infrastructure, to include networking, operating systems, databases, active directory, and best practices for performance and security. You must have excellent interpersonal communication skills. You must possess strong self-starting and time management abilities. You must be able to define and prioritize tasks, provide scheduling, and provide project status information to upper management. You must have working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., AI coding assistants and code-generation/review tools) and experience or strong aptitude integrating AI/ML capabilities, such as LLM APIs and intelligent automation, into business applications, consistent with Enercon's approved-tools and AI usage policies. You must have an understanding of AI agent concepts such as MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and AI skills, and how they are used to extend AI tools with custom capabilities, data access, and workflows. Education and experience of a successful candidate: Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent MS SQL / development, management, and administration C#, VB.Net, Javascript, and HTML5 development MVC/Web API development (client/server development) Source control management and maintenance. Experience with AI-assisted development tools, AI/ML API integration, or prompt engineering a plus. Experience building or supporting internal AI-powered tools in an enterprise setting, similar to the work planned for Enercon's internal AI production environment, is a plus.
