Hi-Vac Corporation is seeking a full-time Janitor to perform janitorial maintenance duties within our manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Cleans and supplies all designated building areas which includes but is not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing.
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
• Notifies management of any needs for major repairs or maintenance.
• Responds to urgent situations, such as spills, that require quick action.
• Maintains cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed.
• Operates and maintains equipment such as vacuums and floor cleaners.
• Make minor repairs, as necessary.
• Collects and disposes of trash.
• Stocks and maintains supply rooms.
• Follows all health and safety regulations and has familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Performs routine physical tasks.
• Occasional forklift operation.

Performance of this job requires the employee to:

• Frequently stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Exhibit vision abilities which include but are not limited to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Not have allergies to cleaning products.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and
• One to three months related experience and/or training in an industrial setting
