Senior Software Engineer - Database Storage

Salary: $117,200 - 285,800 per year Requirements:

• We expect hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
• We need advanced prompt engineering capability, including the ability to craft precise, structured prompts and maintain reliable system context.
• We are looking for experience designing and building scalable, resilient, fault-tolerant transactional and distributed systems in enterprise production settings.
• We want strong proficiency in Java or C within a Unix/Linux environment, along with solid understanding of object-oriented design and patterns.
• We value experience using telemetry and metrics to improve operational excellence.
• We need someone who learns quickly and delivers high-quality code in a fast-moving team environment.
• We expect a detail-oriented engineer who writes functional and unit tests and helps review and test teammates code.

• We require 5–9+ years of professional experience, or an M.Sc. in a relevant field plus 3–7+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with relational databases, distributed storage, or Google Cloud Platform is a strong advantage.
• A thorough understanding of distributed systems, system programming, and working with system resources is important.
• Practical knowledge of clustering solutions, public cloud deployment, Kubernetes, and cloud vendor APIs is highly desirable.

• We work on highly available distributed systems and durable data storage capabilities that support the broader stack.
