English Teacher (High School)

Paterson Public School District 307 - KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL, Paterson, New Jersey. Starting Date: Immediately. Job Description Qualifications: Hold a New Jersey instructional English certificate. Have excellent experience teaching and working with children. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary. Experience working with High School students at various ability levels. Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff, students, administration, parents, and community. Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications. Provide instruction and experiences in learning the culture of the community. Work in collaboration with the classroom teacher and specialist teachers, reinforcing or modifying methods and materials used in regular classrooms. Maintain records indicating student progress and assist with evaluation and assessment of students. Communicate regularly with parents to nurture a supportive and cooperative relationship between home and school. Engage learners in differentiated learning experiences for the range of skill levels and developmental needs found in the classroom, managing multiple instructional activities simultaneously when appropriate.
