POSITION DETAILS
------------------

• Job Title: Special Education Teacher – Emotional Behavioral Disorder (EBD)
• Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
• School Level: Elementary
• Contract Dates: September 2026 – June 2027
• Hours: Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Pay: Competitive, based on experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO
------------------

• Provide specialized instruction to elementary students identified with Emotional Behavioral Disorders in a structured classroom setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized IEPs aligned with each student’s academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Design and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) using evidence-based strategies
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and school staff
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, school psychologists, social workers, and administrators
• Utilize trauma-informed, de-escalation, and restorative practices to support student regulation and success
• Maintain accurate student records, progress monitoring data, and required documentation

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
------------------

Required:
• Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education teaching license (candidates without the appropriate MN licensure will not be considered)
• Endorsement or licensure in Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) preferred
• Experience working with students with significant behavioral and emotional needs at the elementary level
• Strong understanding of IEP development, BIP implementation, and IDEA compliance

Preferred:
• Training in de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, or restorative practices (e.g., CPI, PBIS)
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a school-based setting
• Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to student growth and well-being
