Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk Job Description

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations by managing inventory, processing orders, maintaining organization, and supporting administrative tasks. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
• Organize and maintain inventory using warehouse systems.
• Pick, pack, and label items accurately for shipment.
• Generate shipping labels and required documentation.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, safe, and well-organized.
• Update inventory records and prepare shipping/receiving reports.
• Generate reports on inventory levels and order fulfillment.
• Collaborate with team members and coordinate with other departments.
• Report inventory discrepancies or quality issues promptly.
• Perform additional warehouse-related tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience with inventory management.
• Experience processing and selecting orders.
• Data entry and familiarity with ERP systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift and material handling experience.
• Highly prefers standup forklift experience.
• Ability to pull orders and wrap pallets.

Work Environment

The work takes place in an open-air facility, which can be hot or cold depending on the weather. The position is on the first shift, running Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.
