TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking to fill a Material Handler position in Decatur, IL. Pay is $19.00hr and this is a 1st shift position.
Overall Purpose
Under direction of the Shift Supervisor or Warehouse Team Lead, the HT Material Handler completes in a timely manner all receiving, shipping, and material handling functions as required.
Reports To
Direct: Shift Supervisor and Site Manager Indirect : Area Manager/ Director of Operations
Responsibilities
- Sort material as needed
- Accurately and legibly fill out daily paperwork
- Perform record and time keeping activities as required
- Complete damaged goods reports and/or accident reports as required
- Use power and hand tools typically found in a warehouse environment
- Safely move, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Operate a forklift for extended periods while following all safety, quality, and warehouse procedures
- Use powered industrial trucks and pallet jacks to move material within the work area
- Complete other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Must have reliable transportation
- Accurately perform basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to learn, understand, and follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Operating-level proficiency using personal and laptop computers
- Capable of accurately maintaining records and timekeeping documentation
- Powered Industrial Truck Operator (OSHA) certification or ability to obtain certification through TRIGO HT
- Demonstrated competency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Demonstrated competency in operating power and hand tools
