RESEARCH SPECIALIST II - Cornett Research Farm

Hiring Department Northern Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center Job Description The Northern Missouri Research Extension and Education Center (NM-REEC) seeks a Research Specialist II to work out of the Cornett Farm located in Linneus, MO. The successful candidate will assist professors on research projects involving cattle, crops and forages. Job duties and responsibilities Assist in day-to-day research activities for various agronomic trials across a diverse set of crops. These projects have many different protocols and timelines. Plan and prioritize resources to project demands and be able to communicate the needs and plans to the Agronomy Professor, NM-REEC Director and Staff. Assist graduate students, summer help and staff in executing assigned projects. Participate in REEC sponsored activities and initiatives as required. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Shift Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree, experience with livestock and experience in applied agronomic research is preferred. Anticipated Hiring Range The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $19.25 - $27.39 hourly. Salary and Benefits Summary Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
