Risk Management Specialist
North Metro Fire Rescue District
Join the North Metro Fire Rescue Team!
North Metro Fire Rescue is currently hiring a Community Risk Reduction Specialist to help lead our Collaborative Health Program.
The primary responsibility of this position is connecting community members with the resources they need to live safer, healthier, and more independent lives. Our firefighters identify individuals who may benefit from additional support and submit referrals to our Collaborative Health Program. The CRR Specialist then visits patients in their homes, provides personalized resource navigation, and offers short-term case management.
Every day is different. You may help someone obtain a wheelchair or walker, coordinate in-home care services, connect a family with community resources, or assist an older adult with transitioning into a senior living community. The goal is to reduce risk, improve quality of life, and help people access the support they need before an emergency occurs.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, an excellent communicator, and comfortable working independently in the field. Experience working directly with patients or clients is highly valued. Qualified applicants may come from a variety of backgrounds, including:
- Paramedic or EMT
- Social Worker
- Case Manager
- Home Health or In-Home Care Provider
- Human Services Professional
- Or another field with relevant experience providing direct client support
In addition to our Collaborative Health Program, this position plays a key role in community education. The CRR Specialist provides CPR, bleeding control, and fire extinguisher training, along with safety education for children, adults, and older adults. This position also coordinates and attends community events throughout the district, representing North Metro Fire Rescue and building relationships with the people we serve.
Teaching, public speaking, or presentation experience is important, as educating the community is a significant part of this role.
If youre passionate about serving others, building community partnerships, and making a meaningful impact outside of emergency response, wed love to hear from you.
We appreciate your interest in joining North Metro Fire Rescue!
