Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Hyannis, MA

Job Type: Contract

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical assessment skills, emergency care experience, and the ability to manage patients with varying levels of acuity while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Active Massachusetts RN License

• Current BLS Certification

• Current ACLS Certification

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience

• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room travel nursing experience

• Strong IV administration and IV start skills

• Ventilator care experience

• Telemetry monitoring experience

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

• Successful completion of facility-required pharmacology and arrhythmia competency exams

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC Certification

• ENPC Certification

• PALS Certification

• De-escalation Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.

• Perform patient assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

• Communicate patient status and care needs to interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Monitor telemetry and ventilator-dependent patients.

• Serve as a charge nurse and clinical resource when assigned.

• Assist with orientation, training, and education of staff.

• Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.

• Maintain ongoing professional development and competency requirements.

• Deliver exceptional patient and family-centered care.
