Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental office team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients while ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk. The ideal candidate has prior dental office experience, including verifying insurance benefits and preparing treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the daily calendar
- Verify patient dental insurance coverage and benefits accurately before appointments
- Prepare and present treatment plans, including cost estimates and payment options
- Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments
- Maintain and update patient records in the practice management system
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle patient inquiries regarding procedures, billing, and insurance
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office (front desk or administrative role)
- Proven experience verifying dental insurance and explaining benefits to patients
- Experience creating and presenting treatment plans
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Open Dental)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy with patient information and billing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Experience with insurance claim submission and follow-up
- Bilingual is a plus
Work Environment:
- In-office position in a professional dental setting
- Interaction with patients, dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff
