Position Overview ISMIRA Agency is recruiting for the role of Assistant Chief Housekeeper for Viking Ocean Cruises. The Assistant Chief Housekeeper will support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the Housekeeping Department. Address guest‑related issues and resolve them in line with Viking’s STAR Service Standards, following up on special guest requests. Maintain up‑to‑date housekeeping logs and manage special cleaning matrices, including curtains, carpet shampoo, furniture, and shower head sanitation. Conduct regular inspections of housekeeping areas—guest staterooms, public areas, corridors, and lockers—to confirm compliance with company policies, safety, and fire/chemical regulations, reporting defects and required repairs. Lead and support a multicultural team, enhancing crew satisfaction, productivity, and retention. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Chief Housekeeper or similar role in a 5‑star hospitality environment, including ship operations with 500+ staterooms. Demonstrated experience in leading a multicultural team. Preferred: Business Administration or Hotel Management degree. Fluent in English with excellent oral communication skills. Guest‑focused, service‑oriented, positive personality, professional appearance, and high hygiene standards. Strong administrative skills: proficiency with PC‑based databases, spreadsheets, and word‑processing systems. Effective stress‑management skills. Comprehensive knowledge of Public Health and Sanitary Policies compliance. Minimum age of twenty‑one (21) years old, physically fit, and able to carry heavy items and stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods. No visible tattoos.
