The Position
Our bank client is seeking to fill a Commercial Real Estate Administrator role in the Deerfield, IL area. The position is responsible for supporting the Commercial Real Estate group account officers by preparing loan files and coordinating loan closings with the Loan Operations department. Assist in collecting and monitoring the receipt of customer financial information.
The opportunity has a generous salary of up to $80K and a benefits package. (This is not a remote position)
Commercial Real Estate Administrator responsibilities include:
- Supporting Commercial and Construction Loan Portfolio monitoring in the area of managing credit limit availability of revolving ABL loans, floor plan lines, Commercial and Residential construction draw advances.
- Maintaining compliance with credit terms, loan/security agreements, and regulatory and internal guidelines (processes and procedures).
- Working in conjunction with borrowers, contractors (general and subs), monitoring firms and title companies to ensure projects remain on time and budget for completion.
- Preparing, maintaining and updating Borrowing Base, Transportation and Construction Loan Status reports, ABL Line Freezing Log, Over-advance Log, and work logs for both Commercial Loan and Construction loan monitoring.
- Post-closing construction document exception management. This includes monitoring, loading, clearing, reporting, delegating and all related matters to post closing documentation exceptions.
- Monitoring borrower’s or GC’s compliance with the lender’s construction loan policies & procedures, reviewing of project status reports, draw requests and recommendations for fundings.
- Supervising staff in Oklahoma and Texas that provide the daily monitoring of the Loan Portfolios.
- Preparing annual reviews of the staff.
- Conducting training of the staff.
- Providing supporting checklists and ensures compliance with Processes and Procedures implemented by the Department Bank-wide.
- Monitoring, reviewing and ordering field audits and other inspection reports as requested from Senior Credit Risk Officers, Commercial Lending, and Collateral Officer.
- Provides leadership support and is actively involved in the development and implementation of Special Projects as delegated by the SVP of Credit Administration, Chief Credit Officer and Executive Management.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting or related field.
- Five or more years working experience in loan review or credit analysis.
- Knowledge and experience working with title companies, construction monitoring companies, municipalities and general contractors.
- Candidates with knowledge in commercial construction loan processes.
- General working knowledge of construction permits, licenses and lien waivers.
- Thorough understanding of the funding process.
