We're looking for a Commercial Interior Designer who loves great design, enjoys building client relationships, and wants to be involved in projects from the first conversation through move-in day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Be involved in every stage of interior design projects, from early concepts and client communication to space planning, design development, and construction documents.

· Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, finishes, fabrics, equipment, color palettes and lighting.

· Partner with clients and colleagues to translate programming needs into thoughtful, functional space plans for both small and large-scale interior design projects.

· Generate FF&E schedules and pricing

· Review shop drawings when necessary

· Create and support new and existing client relationships through effective communication and follow-up

· Coordinate project teams and communication among clients, brokers, contractors, consultants, and end users from kickoff through occupancy.

· Work on concurrent projects in various phases of project delivery when needed

· Manage external consultants such as product representatives, furniture dealers and fabricators.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Professional Interior Design Degree or related field experience

· 3 - 5+ years in full life cycle commercial interior design with strength in programming to space plan development and finish specifications

(only individuals with commercial interior design experience should apply)

· Ability to estimate, track and adhere to project hours responsibly

· Knowledge of commercial furniture, finishes, materials, color selections and specifications

· Ability to develop 3D renderings with Sketchup when necessary is preferred

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and Bluebeam. Familiarity with and/or willingness to learn REVIT preferred.

· Interest in NCIDQ Certification highly preferred

· Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IBC, MN State Building Code, MN Accessibility Code, BOMA Standards, ANSI Standards) highly preferred

· Experience in direct client relationships and customer support highly preferred

COMPENSATION:

$63,000 - $75,000 annually. The base salary will be commensurate with relevant experience. Our annual base salaries are established based on relevant skill experience and local markets.
