Commercial Insurance Account Manager (hybrid NY or PA)

To learn more, please visit Posting Description Summary Of Role The Account Manager is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires day-to-day client servicing for a specific set of clients and entails a great deal of verbal, electronic and other written communications. The Account Manager will manage the renewal and marketing process, and prepare materials for presentations and communications in collaboration with more senior team members. Work is completed with a significant amount of independent discretion. While in this role, you will develop relationships with clients and carrier contacts and work proactively to deliver services efficiently. In addition to managing your own clients, you will support the Account Management Team as assigned. This is a full-time position. We offer the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with at least a couple of days a week in our Plainview-Long Island, NY or Midtown Manhattan or Warrington, PA offices. Working in the office is required and is essential for fostering collaboration and career connections. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Works proactively to develop relationships with carrier and client contacts and take an active role in meetings. Prepare and send requests for proposals to applicable insurance carriers, compile spreadsheets results, and prepare first draft of renewal presentation. Takes the lead on reviewing proposals and carrier source documents for accuracy in collaboration with the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive; communicates directly with clients and carriers as approved. Maintains accurate documentation and a follow-up system to ensure policies, endorsements and other information are received to comply with requests. Builds and maintains strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular contact. Collaborates with Advisors/Account Executives on communications to keep clients apprised of industry trends, events, and regulatory issues. First line of answering billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel with assistance from Accounting Department when necessary. Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities Must be able to work from one of the listed offices at least two days a week. When working from home, maintain a private workspace, secure company equipment, and provide high-speed internet; remain present, responsive and minimize personal interruptions. Experience with EPIC or a related agency management system. Excellent written communication skills – writes clearly, edits for spelling and grammar, varies style to meet needs, presents numeric data effectively and reads and interprets information. Self-confident to make sound independent decisions. Ability to interact with a variety of people and personalities successfully. Strong leadership and negotiation skills. Possess technical expertise along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle situations calmly, courteously and professionally. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines and technology. Education And/or Experience More than 3 years of industry and Commercial Lines Insurance servicing is preferred. Recent experience at a retail insurance brokerage or independent insurance agency required. BA/BS preferred; high school diploma or equivalency required. Certificates, Licenses, Registration Property & Casualty Broker's License required upon hire. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required, scope of the position and geographic location.
