Why We Need You PEMCO has a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a Program Manager to join our community. In this role, you will be responsible for key aspects of product or program development, design specifications, vendor research, conceptualization, and program delivery. The position works with cross‑functional teams in the technical design, development, prototyping, and completion of strategic programs, including managing several project teams. What You’ll Be Doing Collaborate with IT and business teams throughout the life of the program and projects. Coach and mentor others on the team. Develop program strategy and design, gain approval for design from sponsors; develop enterprise‑wide project plans to support strategy and design. Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables and effectively leverage PM tools to facilitate project success. Facilitate end‑user training as needed. Ensure technical and user documentation is completed as needed. Manage project costs, including audit of vendor invoices to ensure accurate billing. Address elevated billing issues when they arise. Holistically identify and manage requirements across projects that may be in conflict with each other or that have dependencies on each other. Lead cross‑functional program teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among the functional representatives. Lead vendor selection process through RFPs and other methods, manage vendors effectively through vendor selection, SOW negotiation, and ensure vendors successfully meet their project deliverables. Manage cross‑departmental and company‑wide projects, with effective communications to all levels of the organization including Executives. Work effectively with resource managers to identify project resources. Define and assign project roles, monitor progress from initiation through delivery, and interface with internal customers. Balance and coordinate resource needs across multiple teams to ensure successful project delivery and maximum utilization of all resources. Other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field) is required. Six years of experience in Information Technology or business‑related roles with increasing levels of responsibility, with at least six years leading or managing projects is required. Solid technical background, with understanding of the technologies leveraged by the associated IT Unit. Ability to thrive in a complex, fast‑paced environment with limited documentation. Expect daily/hourly collaboration (paired development) with other developers, BAs and/or QAs. MS Office: Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access is required. Business Environment: Thorough understanding of our industry, the relevant business landscape, trends in growth and insurance environments; ability to spot early indicators of change and apply strategies to adapt quickly. Compensation Greater Seattle area target pay range: $154,845‑$189,255. Full pay range: $129,038‑$215,063. Outside greater Seattle area target pay range: $136,654‑$167,022. Full pay range: $113,879‑$189,797. Benefits Covered by employer‑paid basic life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance policies and long‑ and short‑term disability benefit coverages. Eligible to participate in PEMCO’s 401(k) plan which includes a generous employer match (2 for 1 on the first 6% employee pre‑tax and/or Roth deferral, up to federal maximums). Vacation accrues at a rate of 10 days for new hires, increasing up to a maximum of 25 days based on tenure. Four personal days granted immediately upon hire. Paid holidays for eight holidays observed by PEMCO throughout the calendar year. Up to ten days of sick leave granted immediately upon hire (pro‑rated based on hire date and part‑time/full‑time status). Paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, and employee volunteering in the community. Additional benefit programs include Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance Program, Scholarship program for children, Employee Assistance Program, Well‑being program, discretionary taxable gifts and gift cards, and other perks such as discounts on software, hardware, cell phone plans, and rental cars.
