This school-based contract opportunity involves working with elementary and PreK students in specialized settings, supporting their growth and helping them succeed academically and socially. With multiple full-time positions available, you’ll join a supportive environment where your skills are truly valued.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license (Note: Emergency Certifications are not acceptable)
- Experience working with children in either elementary Autism SPED or PreK SPED settings preferred
- Willingness to consider local and travel professionals
- Open to candidates with pending certification (as long as full licensure is obtained before starting)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to an onsite position—remote or virtual options are not offered
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address each student’s unique needs
- Provide direct instruction, support, and modifications in a classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, therapists, and parents for comprehensive student support
- Track and monitor student progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students
