A living example of The Triton WayData and fact driven decision maker.Effectively Leads multiple projects simultaneously through strong time management skills.Strong communication skills within all levels of the corporation.Ability to build strong team comradery.Ability to rapidly problem solve and delegate tasksWillingness to hold others accountable and take ownership in their workKey Responsibilities:General Engineering LeadershipChampion world-class design practices through: Implementation of robust print and model control processesDevelopment and maintenance of bulletproof revision control systemsDefined, documented, and organized file structuresStrategic automation of repetitive tasks and processesContinuous research and adoption of emerging technologiesPrioritize safety in all design considerations and activitiesAct as a key knowledge leader by training others on best practices, tools, and technologiesMaintain a relentless focus on delivering high-quality outputs for internal and external stakeholders, including: R&D TeamsWelders and FabricatorsCustomers and Client EngineersCore member of the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) teamCapable of basic welding and fixture assembly; willingness to improve hands-on skills as neededActively participates in:Daily floor huddles for improved communication and transparencyWeekly engineering sync-ups to update team on high-impact projectsDevelop deep understanding and proficiency with BOM (Bill of Materials) and router creation processes in Triton’s systemsKey AttributesTechnical Aptitude & OwnershipStrong mechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of manufacturing processesOwns projects from concept through completion; lead design reviews and obtain approvalsConduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design integrityBalance competing design constraints (cost, complexity, user experience) to deliver innovative, effective solutionsProfessionally interface with customers; establish Triton as a strategic partnerIdentify process improvement opportunities within customer workflows and designsTechnical Design and DocumentationDesign components, assemblies, weldments, fixtures, and gauges for both internal and external useTranslate complex design challenges into actionable engineering requirementsDevelop and oversee test plans and design validation criteriaEstablish and manage project milestones; hold team members accountable to timelinesContinuously push for precision, repeatability, and speed in all designs and build activitiesMaintain performance metrics to validate design process improvementsPrints, Models, and Digital AssetsAct as company expert in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Train team members on Triton print standards and best practicesMaintain and update all training materials related to print and model workflowsPerform model-to-print verification on all new parts and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)Initiate and manage the engineering checklist as part of APQP proceduresExpert in SolidWorks;
