We are a local family business that has been operating in the islands for 38 years and employs over 160 employees. The Art Source, Inc. is the parent company to our three sister companies - Pictures Plus, Plus Interiors & CocoNene. Our core competency as a business is local manufacturing of customizable products for the home: artwork, interior furniture & home decor. We make all the products in our factory on the west side of Oahu in Kapolei and we sell to our customers through our various retail locations on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. We are looking for a part or full-time positive, driven, up-beat sales associate to be a brand ambassador to all things Aloha for our flagship location at International Market Place in Waikiki! This means providing unmatched customer service, selling our fun and Hawai'i-made gifts & souvenirs, all while imparting our own unique Hawai'i stories with guests. Pay is $18-22+/h (base plus commissions). Full-time employees are eligible to receive full benefits that include: medical coverage, 401k, paid time off, employee discount. Part-time employees qualify for an employee discount (25% across all sister brands). Day-to-day responsibilities:

- Servicing guests by providing product knowledge in an authentic, sincere way

- Sharing our unique brand and story with guests

- Keeping the store looking great at all times, cleaning as needed

- Basic cashiering, stock and inventory duties

- Hitting sales goals

Here is what we are looking for in candidates:

- Experience in customer service and sales/retail, preferred (inventory experience a plus)

- Experience with handling cash and point of sales systems, preferred

- Must love Hawai'i!

- Understand the importance of supporting local and locally made

- Warm, friendly, positive attitude, excited to share the CocoNene Way and products with guests

- Continuous improvement & performance-based mindsets, driven to grow sales

- Reliable

- Conversational Japanese, preferred

- High school graduate or equivalent

Status and Schedule:

- Must be able to work weekdays/nights and weekend days/nights. 

- We are open 365 days a year. Must be able to work holidays & late hours. 

- Store is open daily 10am-9pm.
