Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller – On site Our client is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the accounting team and help oversee day-to-day financial operations. This role will work closely with leadership on month-end close, financial reporting, process improvements, and team development. Responsibilities Assist with the month-end and year-end close process Prepare and review financial statements and supporting reconciliations Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Assist in managing audits and supporting external auditors Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting Mentor and support members of the accounting team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems CPA license or CPA-track preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
