Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,720 per week

Job Title Travel Nurse RN OR – Operating Room Location Ironwood, Michigan Job Details Specialty: OR – Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week (4 x 10‑hour day shifts) Shift: 10‑hour days , normally 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; variable start times 6:30–9:00 a.m. Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Perform pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑op nursing care in the operating room. Assist with float duties including PACU, endoscopy, and circulating cases. Manage on‑call duties 1–2 times per week from shift end to 7:00 a.m. the next day. Cover occasional weekend call (Friday–Sunday through 7:00 a.m. Monday) and holiday call. Provide patient care from surgical admission to unit discharge while on call. Document using Epic charting system. Assist with surgical cases such as total knee, hip, shoulder replacements, ORIFs, hip fractures, I&Ds, laparoscopic procedures, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, EGD/colonoscopy, lesion removal, lumpectomy, hemorrhoidectomy, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, laparoscopic salpingectomy, cataract removal, and bunionectomy. Follow scrub color guidelines. Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of RN experience with strong circulating experience. Pre‑op and post‑op nursing experience required; PACU experience preferred. Michigan RN license required. Strong bedside manner, resilience, and ability to manage change. Required Certifications BLS (ARC or AHA) ACLS (AHA or ARC) Required Education Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
