Fabricator

Overview Simpson Strong-Tie is a leader in engineered structural connectors, software, and solutions for the building industry. The Fabricator will bend, seat, flange, and top flange material according to work order and production drawing specifications to achieve safety, quality, efficiency, and lean production goals. Responsibilities Operate manual press brake and punch press, manufacturing parts according to prints and work orders (60%). Package finished products in cartons, apply labels, palletize finished products, gather and stage work, maintain a clean work environment (30%). Perform quality inspections to drawings/specifications using calipers, micrometers, tape measure; communicate with department leadership regarding issues and improvements (10%). Desired Skills & Experience High School Diploma or GED required. 3 years related warehouse experience and/or training. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution. Ability to monitor work gauges and indicators, maintain concentration, perform basic math, actively listen and communicate. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, see, talk, and hear regularly; occasionally sit. Operate large equipment for 8–12 hours, twisting and bending repetitively. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds and heavier with proper equipment. Risk of exposure to heat, cold, loud noise, vibration, and moving mechanical parts. Work Environment Work requires no domestic travel. Work Status & Location Full-time, non-exempt; located in Stockton, CA. Swing shift: 3:45pm – 12:15am. Relocation Relocation is not available for this position. Pay $18.00 per hour.
