Store Associate
Looking to join a seven-time US Best Managed Company award winner? Blue Seal Farm & Home, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies, is seeking a Store Associate to join our team at our Fishkill, NY location. This a full-time opportunity that offers an excellent benefits package. Candidates must have weekend availability. We also offer a generous employee discount as part of this opportunity.
The compensation range for this role is $16.50 to $17.00 an hour. Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product needs and answering questions
- Care of plants and greenery
- Cashing out customers with register system, stocking store, and loading store customers
- Other duties may include, loading bagged feed, shrubs, trees, plants, and related products for customers
- May also require operation of a hand truck in a safe manner and follow all safety rules
- Receive, accurately load, and rotate product
- Maintain cleanliness of the showroom floor and nursery
- Other duties as assigned by Store Management
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must be able to lift 55 lbs. to a height for 50 inches
- Must be able to work in different environments
- Solid work history
- Outstanding customer service skills is a must
- Able to work independently as well as with others and supervision
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
