About the Position

EPIC experience required. Traveler must be first to float at the discretion of the facility. Traveler will float in/out of specialty cluster and will support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high-risk respiratory care. Traveler must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. Facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census. The agreement can be canceled with two weeks' notice without fee or fine. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a progressive care setting. Candidates do not need a license in hand to apply but must obtain the necessary license before starting. The nurse will be expected to work 3x12 or 4x12 shifts. Experience in managing various patient conditions including respiratory issues, cardiac monitoring, and post-surgical care is preferred. The patient ratio will generally be 5:1. The nurse will participate in the management of complex diagnoses including COPD, congestive heart failure, strokes, renal failure, trauma, and myocardial infarctions. Special procedures include chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP therapy, and peritoneal dialysis. The nurse must have skills in cardiac telemetry, medication administration, and critical care protocols. Module hours may be required as part of ongoing education within the role.
