Senior Healthcare Designer We are seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Designer to join an extraordinary project team. The role involves initiating and creating project designs and plans in all phases, and preparing presentation and design drawings. Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of structural systems, spatial requirements, basic MEP issues, natural light, poetry of elements, detailing, and relative construction costs. Act as a "blank sheet" designer, generating new design ideas on the spot and presenting them to the client. Lead brainstorming sessions and internal competitions. Lead charrettes and generate multiple comprehensive design ideas for clients and the design team. Lead design concepts for various project types. Build relationships with clients and guide them through difficult decisions. Effectively supervise and mentor staff. Manage the design process and design team. Promote community service involvement. Qualifications 10+ years of relevant healthcare design experience. College graduate with a relevant, NAAB-accredited degree. Professional registration. Ability to maintain design intent through coordination of consultants while monitoring drawings. Passion to get things done and uncompromising authenticity and integrity. Interest in the Integrated Project Delivery method and a desire to be innovative and creative. Physical Demands Frequently required to sit, stand, and move about the office; frequently moving outdoors may be required; ability to lift and carry large plans or boxes in excess of 10 lbs; frequently operates a computer and other office equipment; ability to coordinate and participate in client meetings; constantly communicates with project team and related parties; ability to maintain standards related to architectural design and production; ability to adhere to timely and consistent attendance.
