ComptrollerWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Comptroller to join our team at GSR Group, LLC, an experienced Wingstop Franchisee. As a Comptroller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities and operations of our franchise. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial principles and practices. This position requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Provide timely and accurate financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and variances from budget.Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets and forecasts in collaboration with management and department heads.Monitor budget performance and provide proactive recommendations to optimize financial performance.Cash Management:Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize investment opportunities.Oversee banking relationships and monitor banking activities, including reconciliations and fund transfers.Internal Controls and Compliance:Establish and maintain robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Conduct periodic internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.Tax Planning and Compliance:Coordinate with external tax advisors to develop tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.Prepare and review tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings.Financial Analysis and Decision Support:Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including investment evaluation, pricing analysis, and profitability assessment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business initiatives and assess their financial impact.Team Leadership and Development:Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting professional development and career growth opportunities.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with a focus on financial management and reporting.Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience in the restaurant industry or franchising sector is a plus.Join our dynamic team and contribute to the continued success and growth of GSR Group, LLC.
