Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be familiar with NG tubes, drains, feeding tubes, and tube feedings.

Special Requests: Block scheduling allowed.

Unit Details: Common diagnoses/patient population: sepsis, CHF, stroke, wounds, trach, chest tubes, hypoxia, pneumonia, tube feedings, and post-surgical patients. RNs do not titrate drips. Charge nurse does not take an assignment. CNAs/PCTs on unit. No vents. BiPAP, high flow, Airvo. Nurses do not titrate the O2. Phillips telemetry monitored by ICU monitor techs; monitors are on the unit if able to read strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend: Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Every other holiday. Nights holidays are Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. No call.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
