Platform Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Platform Engineer to support a company focused on modernizing enterprise infrastructure and strengthening identity, authentication, and certificatebased security.This position is hybrid in Ft. Washington, PA or Allentown, PA . The Platform Engineer will lead the engineering, automation, and operational reliability of core Active Directory and certificate services. Responsibilities for the Platform Engineer include:
- Administering, maintaining, and enhancing Windows Active Directory domains, Group Policy, OU structure, and domain services.
- Managing PKI infrastructure, digital certificates, CRLs, OCSP, and certificate lifecycle processes.
- Developing and optimizing PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to reduce manual tasks and improve reliability.
- Implementing security best practices, supporting audit/compliance needs, and remediating vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to authentication, certificates, replication, domain controllers, and GPOs.
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows/Active Directory environments.
- Handson experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI/certificates, PowerShell scripting, and identity/authentication services.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
