This flexible, as-needed role offers a variety of shifts, including 4:00pm–8:00pm on select days, with opportunities to pick up additional coverage as needed. Must have weekday and weekend availability.If you enjoy serving others, value teamwork, and want a role that fits your schedule, we'd love to have you as part of our team.The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by professionally greeting guests, preparing and serving beverages with accuracy and presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized bar or cart area. Here, your work is more than a job, it's a meaningful part of something bigger.Come see the difference!What You'll Do as a CLV Bartender:Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring proper garnishes and presentation.Arrange bar or cart supplies and glassware to create visually appealing displays.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar/cart area at all times.Accurately record all sales, collect payments, and operate the cash register in accordance with facility cash handling procedures.Prepare and/or sell food items as needed.Conduct inventory checks, assess stock levels, and submit orders or requisitions in a timely manner to ensure sufficient supply of all necessary items.Adhere to all departmental procedures and facility policies.Foster and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departments to support seamless service.Promote a welcoming, positive, and calm atmosphere throughout the department.Attend and actively participate in workshops, seminars, and in-service training programs.Complete TAM (Techniques of Alcohol Management) training and successfully pass the competency test, as required by the Carroll County Board of License Commissioners.Perform additional duties as assigned.All the great incentives you get as a CLV Team Member!A strong total compensation package including:Competitive wagesGenerous contributions to a 403(b)-retirement planPaid professional developmentScholarship opportunitiesAn even stronger culture of caring, collaboration and support!QualificationsWhat You'll Need as a BartenderEducation | ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent.1-2 years bartending experience or formal training is preferred and should be verifiable.Must comply with all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages, as required by the State of Maryland.Equal Opportunity Employer Statement At Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland (LSMMD), we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where every individual is respected, supported, and valued.
