Lead IT/OT Integration Engineer

Salary: $73,000 - 89,000 per year Requirements:

• 3–6+ years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing systems integration, IT/OT engineering, or enterprise application integration in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Ignition is strongly preferred; experience with comparable platforms such as Rockwell FactoryTalk or Siemens WinCC will also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols, enterprise data transmission, and integration across IT/OT networks.
• Experience integrating SCADA, MES, ERP, LIMS, or similar manufacturing and enterprise applications, with an understanding of industrial data architecture and system interoperability.
• Hands-on experience with integration technologies such as MQTT, SOAP, REST APIs, XML, JSON, message queuing, and middleware platforms.
• Understanding of cloud and on-premise architectures, data management, system security, and integration best practices.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives, engage cross-functional stakeholders, coordinate external partners, and drive complex integration projects.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical or Controls Engineering, or a related technical field is ideal.
• Familiarity with Unified Namespace (UNS), data contextualization, pharmaceutical manufacturing, cGMP, or 3D printing is a plus.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of IT/OT solutions connecting manufacturing equipment, SCADA platforms, and enterprise applications, including ERP, MES, LIMS, QMS, and CMMS.
• Expand and improve integration architecture to enable enterprise-wide data exchange, manufacturing automation, and digital transformation.
• Build and implement industrial communication and data integration solutions using APIs, middleware, messaging protocols, and enterprise integration technologies.
• Integrate real-time manufacturing, laboratory, and quality data to improve process visibility, traceability, and data-driven decisions.
• Work with engineering, IT, operations, quality, and business stakeholders to define integration needs and advance cross-functional initiatives.
• Create and maintain integration workflows, data mappings, transformation rules, and digital dashboards to support consistent, accessible data across systems.
• Assess and implement technologies for scalable, secure, reliable IT/OT infrastructure while meeting applicable regulatory and data integrity requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues, improve system performance, and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Coordinate technology vendors and integration partners, including their technical deliverables, project schedules, and implementation work.
