Do RN's read strips? tele monitor techs monitor patients but RNs have to be able to read strips Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Charge Nurse and House Supervisors and Nurse Educators available Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios PCTs are present 12/1 RT/Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow) Cpap, Bipap, and high flow patients Shifts & Scheduling 12 hour shifts scheduling is by manager, cannot guarantee block scheduling Weekend Requirement every other weekend required Holiday Requirement holidays are required Call or Standby Requirement no Floating Requirements must be willing and able to float to all med/tele units. Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy blue Unit/Department Specific Orientation 2 shadow/orientation shifts prior to being on their own
