Summary:

Junxion Med Staffing is looking for a L&D RN to take an assignment in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Job Details:

**Required Experience:** - Minimum 2 years of experience (prefers 3 years) to be comfortable working on the unit. - Experience with facilities conducting >300 births per month. - Experience in large/high volume similar settings is recommended. **Traveler Experience:** - Unit will accept 1st-time travelers. **Skills:** - Ability to circulate in the OR. - Conduct sterile vaginal exams. - Competent in immediate newborn care. - Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs. - Interpretation of dysrhythmias. - Triage of obstetrical patients. - Pain assessment and management. **Certifications:** - BCLS - AWHONN Intermediate - NRP - AWHONN Advanced or C-EFM in lieu of AWHONN **Licensure:** - NC or Compact license (pending OK for submission) **Special Considerations:** - The unit is very fast-paced and may not be realistic for a 48-hour contract. - Double labor assignments are common. - Willingness to float within women's unit (SMC-High risk OB) is required. - May be required to precept/orient new staff members. **Charting System:** - Experience with EPIC required. **Other Requirements:** - Must be able to complete modules pre-start and annually. - Prefer RN with OR circulate experience. **COVID-19 and Flu Vaccine:** - COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required - Flu Vaccine: Required - medical/religious exemptions only
