Day in the Life
Picture your morning in Glen Carbon, IL 62034: you arrive on site, join a brief safety huddle, review the day’s plan and blueprints, and stage materials. From there, you’ll rotate through tasks—selective demolition to open up spaces, framing and rough carpentry, detail work like finish carpentry and cabinet installation, and steady use of hand and power tools. You’ll help load and unload deliveries, keep the site organized, and coordinate with teammates to hit milestones safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do- Contribute to residential and commercial build-outs and renovations.
- Operate a wide range of hand and power tools with attention to safety and efficiency.
- Interpret and follow blueprints and building plans to meet client expectations.
- Perform demolition activities while maintaining strict safety practices.
- Handle loading, unloading, and staging of materials and jobsite equipment.
- Uphold a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work area.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate closely with the crew.
- Comply with safety regulations and company guidelines at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior construction or related trade experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Physical stamina with the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Solid understanding of construction safety procedures.
- Team-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
- Comfort working outdoors and indoors across varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
