About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. License: Pending License accepted: No Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: - Previous surgical experience required. - Ability to float to other units as needed. - Acceptance of pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above depending on procedure. - Flexibility with weekend shifts required. Description: This position requires a registered nurse for a fast-paced inpatient surgical unit. Candidates must be familiar with general surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery. The role entails managing a patient ratio of 6:1 for both days and nights. Staffing may involve floating to other units as needed. Daily census is approximately 18 patients with a unit capacity of 24 beds. Expected to work weekends every other week. All RTO must be communicated in advance. Fit testing is required prior to starting the assignment. Travelers must comply with all health policies.
