About the Position

Medix has partnered with a premier healthcare facility to find a dedicated Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Specialist for a high-impact travel assignment in White Plains. As a trusted healthcare clinician, you will play a crucial role in evaluating pulmonary health and delivering compassionate patient care. In this role, you will perform spirometry, lung volume assessments, diffusion capacity, arterial blood gas analysis, and exercise oximetry testing while maintaining lab calibration and quality control standards. Schedule Details Work Week: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Shift Hours: 8 hours per shift (40 hours per week). Responsibilities • Perform comprehensive PFT procedures (spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, methacholine challenge, exercise oximetry). • Prepare, calibrate, and maintain pulmonary testing equipment and evaluate quality control biological data. • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis following laboratory protocols. • Educate patients on metered-dose inhalers and spacing devices while assisting physicians with test data presentation.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or NYS Board equivalent
• Active Respiratory Therapist License issued by NYSED
• Current BCLS certification
• At least 1 year of hands-on PFT testing experience
• Outpatient or ambulatory experience (Preferred)
