Job Title
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Location Henderson, NV | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to normal and high-risk laboring patients, antepartum patients, and couplet care in a Level 3 high-risk facility
Perform vaginal exams and internal monitor placement independently and confidently
Circulate and recover C-section patients in on-unit OR suites
Titrate drips including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin
Read and interpret fetal monitor strips without tele tech support; document using

Cerner EFM system
Float to postpartum/mother-baby and other units as needed
Required Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
AFM (Advanced Fetal Monitoring) certification required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
Cerner experience required
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Candidates who have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience in a high-risk or Level 3 Labor and Delivery setting
Familiarity with AWHONN staffing guidelines and ratio-based care models
Experience managing common L&D drip protocols including Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin
Comfort floating between Labor and Delivery, antepartum, and mother-baby units
