Delivery Manager - TJ Sheehan

Delivery Department ManagerObjective: Assist with managing the delivery department to maximize safety, efficiency and customer service.Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually depending on experienceJob Responsibilities:Ensure compliance of all DOT regulationsEnsure Delivery Department is appropriately staffed at all timesMonitor terminal time and review MobileCast daily with driversOversee morning delivery logisticsOversee PM DispatchBe the backup for AM and PM DispatchBe the backup for routersDaily dispatch of vehicle, drivers and equipmentFormulate and maintain delivery schedules and routeConduct regular checks on delivery driversTrack and maintain employee hours for payrollMaintain DOT FilesConduct regular performance evaluations of delivery personnelDistribute Mobilecast equipped phone units accordingly to drivers during dispatchDistribute route books and documentation to drivers during dispatchEnsure every order scheduled for delivery is set up for dispatch and delivered on time.Handle and track driver phone calls regarding customer issuesEnsure timely filing of any and all insurance or accident reportsResolve customer complaintsOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:Associate or Bachelors in related major preferredExcellent written and oral communicationStrong computer knowledge, especially Excel and WordPrevious transportation / delivery dispatch experience preferredManagerial Experience with excellent decision making abilityAbility and willingness to work independentlyPhysical Demands:Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, hand jacks, etc.Climbing stairs and inclined surfaces on an occasional basisWalking on hard surfaces on a frequent basisFrequent exposure to temperatures ranging from 30 - 100 degrees F on a seasonal basisTwo handed lifting of up to 40 pounds from floor to shoulder height on an occasional basisTwo handed lifting of kegs up to 160 pounds from floor to waistThis description is not intended to create a written or implied contract and may be modified by the company at its discretion.
