Staff Pharmacist – Part-Time

Minnetonka, Minnesota - Part-time
$70 per hour

We are hiring a part-time Staff Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team.

 
This position is based at our pharmacy in Spring Park, MN, serving the Lake Minnetonka community.

What You'll Do:

As a Staff Pharmacist, you'll work alongside our pharmacy technicians and Pharmacist-in-Charge in a hands-on community pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform drug utilization reviews, including checking for drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and appropriate dosing.
• Counsel patients on prescription medications, OTC products, and self-care.
• Communicate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and recommend appropriate therapeutic alternatives when needed.
• Assist with resolving prescription and insurance-related issues.
• Administer immunizations and provide applicable pharmacy services.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and staff during your scheduled shifts.
• Maintain compliance with applicable Minnesota Board of Pharmacy, DEA, HIPAA, PMP, and pharmacy regulations.
• Help provide a safe, organized, patient-focused pharmacy environment.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program.
• Active Minnesota pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach to pharmacy practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, patients, and healthcare providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current immunization certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Community or retail pharmacy experience.

Schedule:

• This is a part-time position averaging approximately 16–24 hours per week .
• The schedule will be coordinated with the pharmacy team and coverage needs.
