Job Description

The Maintenance Technician supports multiple facilities by completing work orders, performing general maintenance projects, and ensuring that building systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently. This role combines hands-on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and light HVAC work with vendor coordination and preventive maintenance on specialized machinery and facility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete maintenance work orders across multiple facilities in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with general maintenance projects and ongoing facility upkeep tasks.
• Perform mechanical work including painting, drywall patching, and minor structural repairs.
• Install and hang fixtures such as pictures, whiteboards, televisions, and similar items.
• Assemble furniture and perform routine filter changes as needed throughout the facilities.
• Conduct basic electrical maintenance, including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
• Complete plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks in sinks and faucets and adjusting toilets and minor plumbing systems.
• Identify HVAC concerns, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues to appropriate specialists when necessary.
• Coordinate with external vendors and oversee their work to ensure quality completion of maintenance and repair projects.
• Perform preventive maintenance on injection mold machine motors, seals, and related components to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Assemble wire cutting and stripping machines, automatic label applicators, custom presses, and other custom equipment as required.
• Service facility equipment including water filtration systems, air compressors, and plumbing systems to maintain proper operation.
• Use blueprints and technical documentation to diagnose issues, plan repairs, and support mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and adhere to all facility safety guidelines and procedures.
• Communicate clearly with team members and facility staff regarding work status, issues found, and recommended solutions.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience working in a facility or similar maintenance environment.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read and use blueprints and technical drawings for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Basic HVAC knowledge with the ability to identify issues and escalate when necessary.
• Ability to perform minor electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
• Ability to complete plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks and adjusting toilets and minor plumbing systems.
• Strong work ethic with a hard-working attitude and willingness to stay busy and engaged throughout the day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with preventive maintenance on injection mold machine motors and seals.
• Experience assembling wire cutting and stripping machines, automatic label applicators, custom presses, and other custom equipment.
• Experience servicing facility equipment such as water filtration equipment, air compressors, and plumbing systems.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar multi-trade maintenance role.
• Comfort working across multiple facilities and coordinating with external vendors.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

Work Environment

This role operates on first shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing a predictable daytime schedule. You will work in a dynamic, and inclusive facility environment that is inclusive and collaborative, with regular interaction across different departments and external vendors. The work involves both office and industrial areas, including production spaces where injection mold machines, wire cutting and stripping machines, automatic label applicators, custom presses, and other custom equipment are used. You will routinely work with building systems such as water filtration equipment, air compressors, plumbing systems, electrical fixtures, and HVAC components. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork, with an expectation that you maintain a clean and orderly workspace and use appropriate tools and equipment for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $68640.00/yr.
