Key Responsibilities Provide direct clinical guidance and therapeutic support to assigned clients experiencing major mental illness and/or severe emotional disorders through virtual sessions. Conduct comprehensive assessments, including screening for mental health symptoms and determining the best course of action for each client, whether through direct intervention or referral to additional resources. Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s specific needs, ensuring seamless access to linked services. Facilitate group therapy sessions and family counseling as needed, emphasizing collaborative approaches to treatment that empower clients. Assist clients and their families in crisis situations by providing immediate interventions and follow-up support to ensure ongoing care and safety. Monitor treatment progress, adherence to care plans, and compliance with discharge criteria, ensuring timely adjustments as necessary. Regularly participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to share insights, refine care strategies, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives across the organization. Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with ethical guidelines and state regulations. Uphold the highest standards of ethical practice and professional conduct, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clients. Engage in on-call coverage as assigned to provide emergency support and resources to clients after hours. Patient Population / Client Focus This role serves a diverse clientele primarily consisting of individuals from underserved backgrounds who grapple with chronic mental health challenges. Qualifications A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required. Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health setting. Proven experience working with diverse populations and strong cultural competency is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective therapy and community engagement. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client cases simultaneously. Preferred Experience Experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment, focusing on under-resourced populations. Familiarity with telehealth systems and electronic health record management. Skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques. Compensation and Benefits Brookdale Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
