Retail Marketing Specialist

Location: Chandler, AZ

Reports To: Director of E-Commerce and Digital

Salary: Full-Time, (Salaried) Exempt

Pay Range or Starting Pay: $75K-$95K

Purpose: The Retailer & Marketplace Specialist plays a central role in managing and optimizing the digital commerce presence across Amazon and other digital retail partners, including Nordstrom.com and future retailer.com and marketplace channels. This role supports digital sales growth by optimizing digital shelf, improving product visibility and conversion, and ensuring strong execution across marketplace operations and retail media.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, commercially minded, and highly collaborative, with hands-on experience in marketplace operations and retail media. This role works cross-functionally with E-Commerce, Marketing, Sales, Creative, Customer Service, Operations, and external retail partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

Amazon Marketplace

• Own Amazon listing optimization and conversion strategy, including titles, copy, keywords, imagery, SEO, A+ Content, and other PDP elements.
• Develop and execute ongoing A/B testing and experimentation across Amazon listings to improve click-through rate, conversion, and overall PDP performance.
• Own hands-on Amazon PPC management across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display, including campaign setup, keyword strategy, search-term analysis, bid optimization, budget management, and ongoing performance optimization.
• Coordinate day-to-day Amazon marketplace operations with the company’s external Amazon agency, including catalog administration, storefront updates, product setup, troubleshooting, and other operational needs.
• Manage catalog integrity, product launches, assortment changes, promotions, and seasonal updates in coordination with the external Amazon agency and internal teams.
• Monitor customer reviews, competitive activity, category trends, and search behavior to identify opportunities and escalate product or quality issues when appropriate.
• Analyze Amazon sales, traffic, conversion, search, advertising, and inventory performance to identify growth and optimization opportunities.
• Serve as a key internal point of contact for the Amazon agency, helping set priorities, review performance, and ensure execution aligns with business goals.

Retailer, Marketplace & Digital Shelf

• Manage day-to-day e-commerce operations across Nordstrom.com and other retailer.com websites and online marketplaces.
• Own and optimize product listings, including product pages, descriptions, imagery, specifications, promotions and other digital content.
• Ensure product content is accurate, current and aligned with brand guidelines across digital channels.
• Manage product catalogs, assortments, availability and promotional information across retailer and marketplace platforms.
• Coordinate new product setup, product launches, assortment changes and seasonal updates across digital platforms.
• Develop and execute digital merchandising strategies to improve product visibility, engagement, conversion and sales.
• Develop creative briefs for retailer and marketplace channels, defining channel specific content requirements, messaging, specifications and deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve the digital shelf and overall online customer experience.
• Support the launch and optimization of new marketplace and digital retail partners as the business expands.

Shopify B2B & Professional E-Commerce Support

• Support product listing and digital merchandising optimization for the Professional/B2B business using Shopify B2B on Shopify Plus.
• Assist with B2B product setup, catalogs, collections, content updates, launches, promotions, and seasonal merchandising.
• Support Shopify B2B merchandising and customer experience, including product discoverability, navigation, and conversion optimization.
• Partner with Sales, Education, E-Commerce, Creative and other internal stakeholders to support Shopify B2B merchandising initiatives as needed.

Analytics & Insights

• Analyze sales, traffic, conversion, search performance and other e-commerce KPIs to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
• Develop performance reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor retailer and marketplace channel performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Translate performance data into recommendations that improve visibility, conversion, customer engagement and sales.
• Track and evaluate the effectiveness of digital merchandising, promotional and media initiatives.
• Monitor retail media performance, including impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, CVR, ACOS, tACOS, ROAS, and sales.

Retail Media & Promotions

• Own retail media execution across Amazon and key retailer platforms, including Criteo or similar retail media platforms, while maintaining internal ownership of strategy and performance.
• Manage retail media budgets, campaign calendars and promotional opportunities in partnership with internal teams and external retail partners.
• Use campaign and sales performance data to optimize media effectiveness and return on investment.
• Manage promotional content, availability and supporting assets are accurately reflected across digital platforms.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, Amazon Seller Central, marketplace management, retailer.com, Shopify B2B and related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or a related field preferred.
• Proven hands-on experience managing and growing an Amazon business through Seller Central.
• Hands-on experience managing Amazon Ads, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display.
• Experience with Shopify B2B
• Experience with retail media platforms such as Criteo is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing product catalogs, digital content, assortments and product information across multiple digital platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and e-commerce performance data and translate insights into actions.
• Strong communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Beauty, CPG, or consumer brand experience is preferred.
