Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will DoThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior System Safety Engineerto join our teamin Huntsville, AL.Lead one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programsPerform MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses, or customer’s approved equivalentCoordinate with customer safety representatives to gain safety approval from appropriate Safety Review Board authoritiesWork across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.Collaborate with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal backgroundsPerform System Safety Program, Hazard analyses or Design analysesBrief safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval processInterpret system requirements, customer specifications and military standardsPrepare internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety programCollaborate across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and designQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.Experience with System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Safety Engineering.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
