We are currently looking for Stealth / Low Observable / Radar Cross Section (RCS) / Signature / Survivability / Vulnerability Engineers to work on exciting and challenging projects and are hiring a Principal Engineer Survivability - Vulnerability to work on-site in Melbourne, Florida. We need your help to engineer at the edge of the impossible! We would like you to bring your experience in design integration, product support or antenna integration to assist our highly skilled an innovative team.Position Overview:The selected candidate will report to the Vulnerability & Live Fire test IPT within the greater Survivability IPT. Your assignments will result in the understanding of the vulnerability of the aircraft system through various modeling & simulation and analysis techniques as well as live fire test activities. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required.Essential Duties:Develops target models aircraft from NX models.Conducts 26 view and burst point analyses using the AJEM vulnerability analysis tool.Determines contributors of overall Probability of Kill values.Conducts sensitivity analyses.Briefs the customer and other government officials on specific analysis assignments, including findings and status.Performs planning, execution, and reporting of live fire tests.Develops test concepts and derives test shot parameters.Uses statistical analysis tools/processes to conduct Designs of Experiment (DOE)Conducts trade studies to assess vulnerability reduction feature additions/selection based on live fire testing data.Briefs the customer and other government officials on specific testing assignments, including findings and status.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM and 3 years of related engineering experienceThorough understanding of the threats and threat effectsDemonstrated competence with the vulnerability analysis tool set (COVART or AJEM)Construction or modification of target modelsUse of statistical tools, i.e., JMPThorough understanding of vehicle systems and aircraft structuresExperiencing authoring or updating Vulnerability Assessment Reports (VARs)Extensive experience with customer counterpart collaborationUnderstanding of live fire testingIncorporating live fire test data and results into the vulnerability analysisYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.Preferred Qualifications:B.S/M.S. in Aerospace or Aeronautical engineeringVulnerability analysis program planningUse of complex analysis tools, i.e., Amesim, LS-DynaExposure to structural analysisHand on experience with live fire testing#AS-FA3#BluePrimary Level Salary Range: $108,200.00 - $162,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
