WHERE YOU WILL WORK

The intern will be required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. The work schedule is negotiable, but must be during normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The intern is required to work all hours onsite at our Minneapolis office. Responsibilities Over the average six-week internship, possible assigned tasks may include, but are not limited to: Shadowing paralegals and working independently with guidance from mentors; Interviewing members of various work groups to understand large firm operations; Document coding and tagging in Relativity, or other related e-Discovery tasks; Utilizing databases and electronic document management systems; Supervised preparation of deposition kits and trial exhibits; Summarizing testimony and case records, itemizing damages, and assisting with discovery responses; Observing hearings, trials, oral arguments, or viewing video-taped depositions. Qualifications And Application Requirements Current enrollment in a paralegal certificate program requiring an internship component. PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION

Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following during the workday: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (working at a computer) Must be able to move/traverse about inside the office intermittently throughout the day (attend meetings, access file cabinets, obtain supplies from supply room, etc.) Operate computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, telephone, etc. Repetitive movement (i.e. heavy computer/keyboard use). Individual will interact regularly with others verbally, in-person, and via written communication. Ability to handle 50 lb. boxes of documents, pieces of evidence and physically arrange and organize case rooms. The hourly pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. This is a part-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime.
