Our exciting campus is home to the Main Street Abbey event and wedding venue, the Principal Hotel, and coming soon Graphite Restaurant and Home Court Sports Bar. Description Graphite is searching for part time and full-time dishwashers/porters, anticipated opening date mid January2024. Looking for motivated individuals with strong work ethic and the ability to adapt with an eagerness to learn. Key Responsibilities Dishwashing & Cleaning: Wash dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers or by hand as needed Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing station, ensuring all items are cleaned quickly and effectively Sanitize all items according to health and safety regulations to maintain food safety standards Assisting with Kitchen Cleanliness: Clean kitchen floors, counters, and prep areas as needed to support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen Remove trash and recycling and ensure proper disposal in a timely manner Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining a tidy work environment Organizing and Storing: Properly store clean dishes, glassware, and utensils in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff Organize and rotate clean dishware to ensure efficiency and prevent overcrowding Assisting Kitchen Staff: Help kitchen staff with various tasks such as prepping vegetables, organizing ingredients, or moving items in and out of storage Ensure that all kitchen tools and equipment are readily available for use during service Maintaining Dishwashing Equipment: Maintain and care for dishwashing equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the manager Keep track of detergent and cleaning supplies and inform the manager when supplies are running low Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or foodservice setting is preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak service hours Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefully Ability to work effectively in a team and support the kitchen staff as needed Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures Compensation $15/hour plus tips Benefits Employee Discount Flexible schedule Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Shift Daytime, Evenings and Weekends Powered by JazzHR cz67OKYhsY Seniority level Seniority level Entry level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Internet Publishing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Main Street Abbey | Wedding & Event Venue | Columbia, IL by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Dishwasher” roles.
