Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay range: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include performance or seasonal premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Responsibilities Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom and oversee team member execution of customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot. Work with the Store Manager to ensure adequate staffing of the retail sales counter, especially during peak business hours. Assist the Store Manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching and mentoring to ensure goal achievement and current training compliance. Support the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Process all buy online/ship to store orders, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers upon shipment arrival. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and courteously, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise correctly. Invoice all merchandise—including core charges and warranties—before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, adheres to posted schedules, and properly clock in/out. Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits, activating security systems, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist the Store Manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform any other duties as assigned.
