Cytologist
This is a 13-week contract position.
8-hour day shifts.
We are seeking a skilled Cytologist with extensive experience in GYN and Non-GYN screening, as well as Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) processing and immediate assessment. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Bethesda system for Cytology reporting and proficient in Cytology prep work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform GYN and Non-GYN specimen screenings.
- Conduct Fine Needle Aspiration processing and assess samples for adequacy.
- Prepare Cytology specimens for evaluation following established protocols.
- Utilize the Bethesda system for accurate Cytology reporting.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Cytology or related field.
- ASCP Registry and/or Certified Cytology School Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in screening gynecological and non-gynecological specimens, and Fine Needle Aspirations.
- New York State Licensure is required.
- Certifications: ASCP, BLS (AHA).
