Our staffing firm is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing life-saving research and supporting families impacted by childhood cancer. We are seeking a Customer Service Support Coordinator to provide exceptional donor and customer service during a busy year-end giving season. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, excels in communication, and can remain professional and compassionate when assisting individuals during sensitive situations.
The Customer Service Support Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for donors and supporters, handling inquiries, processing donations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a positive experience across multiple communication channels. Training will be provided. Job Description
As the Customer Service Support Coordinator, you will support donor relations and gift processing efforts while delivering outstanding customer service. You will interact with donors by phone, email, mail, and online channels, assist with donation processing and record maintenance, and help ensure accurate data management throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for donor and customer inquiries via phone, email, mail, SMS, and web channels
Provide professional, compassionate service while resolving questions and concerns
Assist donors with giving-related requests, including tribute gifts, recurring donations, tax receipt requests, donation designations, stock gifts, and online donation support
Accept and process donations received by phone
Maintain detailed records of donor interactions, feedback, and transactions
Update donor and constituent information within Salesforce and CRM systems
Process one-time and recurring donations while ensuring data accuracy and compliance requirements are met
Support daily donation reconciliation, reporting, and financial documentation activities
Prepare year-end tax summary letters and acknowledgement communications as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to improve donor experience and operational processes
Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
Strong customer service skills with a commitment to providing a positive experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle emotional, distressed, or frustrated callers with patience, empathy, and professionalism
Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Professional judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality
Adaptability and flexibility when responding to varying customer needs
Direct customer service experience in any industry
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn CRM systems
Preferred
1-2 years of customer service, donor services, administrative support, call center, or related experience
Previous data entry experience
Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
Experience in nonprofit, retail, hospitality, food service, healthcare, or other service-focused environments
Familiarity with donation processing, fundraising support, or constituent relations
Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in any field
